Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network. Bitcoin is open-source; its design is public, nobody owns or controls Bitcoin and everyone can take part. Through many of its unique properties, Bitcoin allows exciting uses that could not be covered by any previous payment system.

Bitcoin is different than any currency you’ve used before, so it"s very important to understand some key points. Unlike government-issued money that can be inflated at will, the supply of Bitcoin is mathematically limited to twenty-one million bitcoins and that can never be changed. There are no physical bitcoins, only balances kept on a public ledger in the cloud, that – along with all Bitcoin transactions – is verified by a massive amount of computing power.

Bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency: Balances are kept using public and private “keys," which are long strings of numbers and letters linked through the mathematical encryption algorithm that was used to create them. The public key (comparable to a bank account number) serves as the address which is published to the world and to which others may send bitcoins. The private key (comparable to an ATM PIN) is meant to be a guarded secret, nd only used to authorize Bitcoin transmissions.

In addition, we also accept most major credit cards, personal checks, and cash as well.  We will be adding other forms of payment in the future that fit within our libertarian/free market philosophy.  Bitcoin is the market"s response to the devaluation of our current fiat currency.  As a pro-freedom law firm, we support this response and want to be at the forefront.
